MORryde is looking for the professional with the right combination of skills to fill a Payroll & Benefits Specialist position in our fast-paced Employee Services (HR) Department.

In this position you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll & Benefits team, which requires you to have a clear understanding of daily processes, regulatory guidelines and laws, and be able to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and provide guidance when roadblocks present themselves. As MORryde processes payroll weekly for nearly 700 team members and with various production incentive plans and departments, it is paramount that you have the desire to understand how things work, as opposed to merely going through the motions of a task. Along with payroll, you will need to understand all benefit offerings, both in use and the administration of plans, to ensure you have the ability to educate team members and provide them with the best customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor, and provide support to other Payroll & Benefit Specialist team members.

  • Timely, accurate preparation and processing of weekly payroll for approximately 700 hourly manufacturing and salaried employees including weekly incentive bonus plans for multiple manufacturing departments.

  • Provide weekly labor analysis reporting to the MORryde accounting team.

  • Produce weekly efficiency reports for manufacturing leadership.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports related to employee benefit plans.

  • Responsible for month-end and year-end audits and reconciliations pertaining to employee benefits, payroll, W2s, and more.

  • Work closely with management to select and promote employee benefit plans.

  • Work closely with management to assess labor trends, adjustments, and incentive plans.

  • Duties also include supporting daily operations of the human resources department, including reporting, HR database management, and special projects. This position has direct hands-on exposure to all aspects of human resources.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to be very organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • The ability to self-manage and prioritize.

  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.

  • Strong computer skills, with a high competency with spreadsheet management and design (Microsoft Excel).

  • Experience with Paylocity or other Human Resources Information System is preferred, but not required.

  • A customer focused attitude and the ability to work with a sense of urgency.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to this position.

  • Analytical mindset and logical thinker when problem solving.

  • Finds fulfillment in identifying problems, brainstorming solutions, and taking action.

We are seeking a person who is energetic, passionate, and motivated. Someone who takes direction and can also work very independently, taking ownership of tasks and deadlines. A successful candidate must have a desire to work with numbers and the aptitude to self-audit numerical data, while being meticulous about the details. You must also be passionate about providing exceptional customer service in all interactions.

Being a part of MORryde’s Employee Services team will provide you with the perfect blend of focused, detail-oriented work along with employee (customer) service opportunities. Check out the Culture and Teams & Roles pages to learn more about our team!
