POWER BI DEVELOPER

MORryde is seeking a creative and data-driven candidate to join our Technology Team as a Power BI Developer.

As a Power BI Developer at MORryde, you will be able to harness your database source knowledge, modeling expertise, and creative abilities to provide vital business intelligence to support day-to-day decision making. Team members from a variety of departments, and areas of focus, will depend on you to fine-tune and make their project ideas come to life. With your guidance and skills, you will be able to increase the value of their initial requests. And while you work closely with those team members, you will have the direct opportunity to learn more about MORryde, production, and all the important metrics of manufacturing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions

  • Hands on with Power BI Desktop (dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, data source management)

  • Work closely with software developers to ensure data sources are accurate, available, and analyzable

  • Create and edit SQL queries within Power BI to build calculated fields

  • Create interactive filters, parameters, and calculations for preparing dashboards and workbooks

  • Build and publish interactive dashboards on Power BI Server

  • Perform and documents data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design

  • Review and improve existing systems and collaborate with teams to integrate new systems

  • Must have excellent verbal communication and documentation skills to maintain workflows and dashboard functionality

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Elkhart, IN, or be willing to relocate to the area

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but will also accept relevant work experience

  • 3+ years of experience (preferred, but not required) designing and managing business intelligence dashboards and analytics using Power BI or Tableau

  • Proficiency with use of query and reporting analysis tools; ability to work with large datasets and optimize query performance

  • Competency in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)

  • Empirical understanding of data systems (BI analytics, data blending, etc.) on process automation and standardization

  • Experience working on a support team environment by documenting, researching, and solving problems via phone calls or email ticketing system

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and flexibility to change priorities when needed

  • Must have good written and verbal skills

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required; we are not able to sponsor at this time
